Manigam, Sep 15 (KNO): In a significant step towards bridging academic learning with practical experience, a one-day exposure program was successfully organized on Monday at the Police Training School (PTS) Manigam for the students of the School of Legal Studies, Department of Law, Central University of Kashmir. The initiative provided law students with a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand insight into various aspects of police training, particularly in areas related to investigation and the evolving legal landscape. The visit aimed to deepen their understanding of practical policing, which is essential for their future roles in the legal system. During the visit, the students explored key facilities including the Moot Court Room, CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems), Smart Classrooms, Assault Track, Library, and Lecture Halls. These interactions offered them a practical perspective on how legal theory aligns with real-world application. As part of the community outreach component of the program, a special lecture was delivered by the Principal of PTS Manigam, Zubair Ahmad Khan (SSP). According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he shared insightful experiences from his career in policing, highlighting the nuances and challenges of law enforcement in contemporary times. The session also featured informative talks by Assistant Principal (Indoor) Farooq Ahmad Mir and Inspector Mudasir Hamid, who spoke at length about the new criminal laws and their implications. Dr. Mudasir, from the Department of Law, who accompanied the students, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Principal Zubair Ahmad Khan for facilitating such an enriching and well-organized program.
